In 2008, the Denton Reads events will be moved to October, and the book selection is Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card.

The schedule of events thus far includes:

  • September/October: book clubs meet to discuss Ender’s Game
  • October: SciFi-themed Film Festival in Denton
  • Saturday, October 18th: Orson Scott Card visits Denton

The Denton Reads committee is proud to sponsor numerous book discussion groups that will meet every week in March throughout the community to discuss The Legacy of Luna. All residents and students in the City of Denton are invited to participate.

The participants of these groups will be given VIP seating at Julia Butterfly Hill’s discussion of her best-selling book on Earth Day, April 22nd at the UNT Auditorium Building.
